IN the NEWS!
This February Issue of Bead and Button Magazine features my talented friend, Lisa
Barth. Lisa and I met in Carisma Gallery where we both sell our jewelry on
consignment. As an avid admirer of wonderful wirework, I invited Lisa to be in my
book, Creative Canes, which was published in June 2007 and featured several
Kaleidoscope beads framed in Lisa's amazing wire work. Lisa's work not only
impressed readers of the book, but also the editors of Bead and Button who so
graciously have featured her in this month's issue.

But there's another story as well, - that is of the beads themselves. Known as
Kaleidoscope beads, these type of beads are made of polymer clay and are a
testimony to another artist - Sarah Shriver. I actually made these beads in a class I
took from Sarah many years ago. She excels at the art of assembling the colorful
shapes and arranging the patterns to simulate a kaleidoscope. Sarah is also an
excellent teacher! Since that time, I have made many sets of Kaleidoscope beads,
here are the latest sets, available at my ETSY store! Please note the beads are made
from canes that cannot be duplicated. Each set is unique in color and design. I have
also included samples of beads by Sarah, my mentor, and a link to her site.
